The inter-webs are especially chatty this week. I’ve been so sidetracked by all the good reads that it’s been hard to FOCUS and figure out what I want to apply to my own business and then share with y’all… not to mention the fact that there is mega hurricane drama happening in my state at the moment. Poor Florida. Poor little islands. I’m praying for you all.
Tom Ferry Million Dollar Business Lists
Let’s start with my favorite motivator, that Tom Ferry guy. He is like the Gary Vee of real estate, and totally my #1 source for when I need to shake things up, get a kick in the tail or some quality real estate marketing advice. Tom, you’re the man and your post this week was ON POINT! Yes… I’m shouting. I’m that pumped.
Tom’s post this week is all about embracing the mundane day to day tasks. When you’re faithful in the small things, it adds up. Big time. You can watch his full video above and please, please, please follow this link to download his daily and weekly checklist. I’m trying to keep this post short, there is so much I could say, but let’s face it, Tom says it better. Watch his video. Download the lists and put them into your daily/weekly playbook. Like, right now. (P.S. if you’re taking his 90 day challenge, let me know with a comment below. Let’s make a secret Facebook group for motivation and accountability!)
NAR Flood Insurance Call to Action
The NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) expires at the end of September. Congress needs to extend the NFIP and NAR is calling on all REALTORS® to step-up to the plate and notify congress on where we stand. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and incoming Irma, click the link, people. Do what needs done and take some action. If you received the email from NAR, follow that link, as it’s already been pre-populated with all your information. Easy-peasy.
ZELLO… Can you hear me?
Not sure this is truly real estate related, but it’s totally relevant this week so let’s run with it.ZELLO is an app that creates walkie-talkie (raise your hand if you instantly think of Brian Regan’s walkie talkie bit… see above for my pop-culture challenged friends) features for use over cell phone or wifi data plans and can operate through existing LMR radio systems. It’s received some good press after the Harvey nightmare in Texas and I’m recommending it for anyone in the path of the incoming Hurricane Irma. You can add up to 5 users for free, so choose them wisely. Download, create or join a rescue channel, send invites to the channel to your loved ones and friends. Then hopefully, you don’t need to use it. But better safe than sorry.
