While not one to just jump on every trend that swirls down the pipe (ahem – no comments), I jumped on the keto thing. And yes, I’ve got a detailed post about my why and how coming up for you in the near future. But because we are rapidly approaching a holiday – and by rapidly approaching I mean, WHOA! It’s here! – we will skip all the why/how today and get straight to the good stuff. I’ve compiled a Pinterest board full of Keto-ish foods that will keep you from feeling deprived. And because I really, really love you guys, I also made you a 1 Carb cocktail recipe. Read it and weep. (Tears of joy, obviously.)
To start with, have you seen this stuff?
It’s the genius of two bright women who were tired of cocktail mixers with entirely too much sugar. We don’t need that. And we also don’t need to spend an afternoon hunched over the stove concocting sugar-free simple syrup, juicing ginger and figuring out what is the right ratio of cucumber to mint just so we can make our own healthy mixers from scratch. Ain’t nobody got time for that! They created three tasty flavors (yup, I’ve tried them all) and they’re all incredibly healthy. They’re zero calorie, all natural, gluten-free and all have a net carb count of 1 or less. (If you don’t believe me, check our their FAQ’s HERE. And purchase right HERE. No, I’m not getting any kick-backs.) The cucumber mint boasts a big fat zero on the ole’ net carb-o-meter. Which is exactly why I used it today to create this tasty cocktail for you. Have one, or five, it’s a holiday and nobody’s counting.
Also, be sure to check out my Pinterest board below. It’s got lots of great food and snack ideas for this weekend. We are making the Parmesan Baked Wings – something anyone will enjoy, trendy keto dieter or not.
